Mining for errr Gold??

I think every child eventually learns this skill, I'd love to say that he learned it from Daddy, but then that probably isn't true. The other kids at school do it. The strange thing is that he's not really picking his nose, he's more just sticking his finger in there. I guess we've hit an exploration stage of life. It was sooo hard not to laugh!

Rain!!!

Summertime and thunderstorms go hand in hand where we live. While we're not storm chasers we do enjoy playing in the rain and the left over puddles.

Eric and C went out and enjoyed the rain the other night. I think he enjoyed it, at least he thought it was amusing for a couple minutes.

DDDDuuuuudddddde!

3 years (is 36 months more impressive?)

We celebrated our 3 year anniversary. Eric brought me home a beautiful hydrangea, which he made sure to tell me that he remembered that it was one of our wedding flowers.
He planted it in the front yard the night he brought it home :-)

Puddle Jumper

A real little boy activity. After this adventure he went straight to the bath! Now when we go for our walk at night he finds the puddle holes even when there is no water.

Local Beach

Saturday I was missing family time. Sometimes work gets in the way of quality family time and I felt like we needed a break, so we adventured down to the local beach. We were pretty much alone so we turned it into a toddler nude beach! C was quite the sport, and don't worry he had sunscreen and he wasn't exposed for long!

Hair Cut

We've done it for better or worse. C got his first haircut!

Sk8er Boy

We went out to play after dinner and Daddy found the neighbors skate boards. C had a great time trying to balance and having daddy push him around.
Of course then two things happened (1) he didn't want to come inside (2) it took him a long time to wind down to go to bed.
But we all had fun, and it's the summer so who really cares??

9-1-1

Who knew a 14 month old could dial 9-1-1??

C must be super smart or super lucky! Last night on the way home, I called Grandma and then handed C the phone so he could talk to her on speakerphone. He managed to hang up on her, which is common for him, but then he managed to call 9-1-1 and then hang up on them.

My phone rang and I grabbed it from him and it was the typical "Mam, this is the county police, is everything alright? We just got a 9-1-1 call from this phone number."

Man I was embarrassed!! The officer was good hearted and laughed. I knew this would eventually happen, but I didn't think it would be this soon.

Dental Hygiene

Imitation is the finest form of flattery right? Well then if that's true, C flatters us constantly, he wants to do everything we do. The latest imitation is brushing his teeth, of course it could also be because his toothpaste is fruit punch flavored!

Animals

Lions (Check), Tigers (where are they), and Bears (check) oh my...

C has taken favor with his animals. The Bear went to school today, and the lion he greets every night with a big hug on the floor. He's very affectionate, so it's fun to see him give kisses to his animals.

Go Kart!

I think when he gets older we're really in for it.

Jimmy our neighbor has go karts and just for fun Eric pushed C around the back yard.

Look at him go!

Pool Time

C got a baby pool from Granny and Grandpa for his birthday. It's finally warm enough so we decided to break it out. He LOVES it! The only downside is that Gunner loves it too.

Beach Trip

We went on a fun beach trip with Sweet Caroline and had a ton of fun, but I think we were all worn out from the kids!

Here are some of my favorites from the trip:

Anne, Caroline's Mom had a super duper cool camera, which I fell in love with and had to have as well. So my pics from now on should be soooo much better. :-)

Corn on the cob

He loved it!
