Gamma and Gappa

Gamma and Gappa came for their quarterly visit. We all had a great time. Gamma and C slept. Gappa and C played. Daddy and Gappa fished, while Gamma and I shopped (however, we could in no way keep up the shopping bill with their gas bill)

Another Milestone

Well he's done many things but this one I was really shocked over. He can feed himself with a spoon. Granted it was cottage cheese probably the stickiest food I could find, but he was examining the spoon so I handed it to him, and he put it right in his mouth. I was pretty impressed, but then when it comes to Little C, it really doesn't take much.

Are we in Holland???

Eric grows some fabulous flowers, and it's a good thing because my thumb is anything but green.

Anyhow, this year he planted 150 bulbs I think, maybe 200. The deer ate some of them but he still managed to have the most beautiful planting once they all came up.

Fun with Grandma

While we were away in Philly, C was with Grandma and Pop Pop. When we got back we all played for a bit. I think one thing he really loves (besides them of course) is the trampoline.
Grandma loves it just as much as C does!

3 Steps

My oh my we're really in for it now.
This weekend C took 3 steps in between Daddy and Grandma with some prompting (video to be uploaded tonight). Then today I get the call from daycare that he took 3 steps on his own initiative when Grandma left the room. So it looks like it's the beginning of the bumps and bruises phase, but then again thank goodness because he was getting to be too heavy to carry!

Once we got home we helped him practice a bit more and got him to do a little more than 3 steps. THANK GOD for carpet!

PNA

So we've had PNO's (Parents Night Out) before but never a PNA (Parent's Night Away). It was about time for some time away from C. He's a year now and no longer dependant upon Mommy.

So we planned a quick one night trip to Philadelphia. We had a blast!

Of course we had to try the Philly Cheese steaks, we decided Geno's was better than Pat's.

We really enjoyed ourselves and missed C all at the same time. We hope that in the fall we can get away to New York for a longer weekend away. Grandma has high hopes of taking him home from daycare on a Friday and bringing him back to daycare on Monday. We'll see if we can be away from him that long.
