Outside

Finally the weather is starting to warm up enough so we can go outside and play. The texture of the grass isn't C's most favorite. In fact if you set him down on the ground he'll stay there because he hates the feel of it so much. Eric propped him up on some trees the other day when he was cleaning the yard and he would just stay there until Eric moved him to another tree. I took these pictures on Friday night when we were all playing outside.

Discovering Popcorn Balls.

Mom, this tree is soooo big!

Peek-a-boo

Look at all my nice teeth. 4 on the bottom and 2 on the top, with 2 more coming in on the top.

Home Made Baby Food

Jackson's Mommy has decided to make his food too, and look how pretty it is! She's so much more creative than I could ever hope to be (you should see her house, perfectly coordinated and decorated), and she's entered herself into a contest on my favorite make your own baby food website.
See here---> Baby Food Contest
Anyway, if you have a chance go vote for her, her entry is "Meredith's Rainbow"

Aquairum Trip

Daycare was closed so we took C to the aquarium. It was so much fun. Very crowded but we managed to get there as it opened and left at lunch so I think we avoided the major crowds.

Helping Gunner

For months now we've been helping C eat. Well he's finally learned and now he helps Gunner. He takes it out of the bowl, because who would want to eat from a bowl, and either tosses it towards him or just puts it on the floor. Amazingly only a couple morsels have made it into C's mouth.

Peek a Boo Fish

We got this musical bath fish for C for his birthday. He drinks the water out of the drum and then plays peek-a-boo with the drum. It's quite amusing.

Babies Play

Caroline came over to play with C. The mommy's got a chance to catch up and it was fun to watch the babies play together. I took this photo just after moved his arm, he had it around her shoulders but I wasn't quick enough with the camera.

School Birthday

Let the cupcake madness begin, I've given in. I totally thought I would be the good wholesome mom who brings in nice tropical fruit for her sons birthday. Nah... I did the norm cupcakes.

In any case, C enjoyed sharing his cupcakes with his friends and his teachers (and of course Grandma and Mommy).

First Birthday!!

365 days and we all survived. We got a little less sleep in 2007 than in 2006, but in the end it was all worth it.

It's been amazing to watch him grow up, everyone always said you'll be surprised to see how quickly it all goes by, and you never truly know the meaning of that phrase until you live it yourself.

We had a very nice party with family and friends and tons of babies. C got lots of wonderful gifts, so I think we've got a stash of toys to last for a while.

Book Door Friends

This is the scene when Eric goes outside. C bangs on the door and they both wait for him to come back. I think it's awfully sweet!
