We nearly did it, after the baby boom of 2007 we all wondered when we would be able to get together and it almost worked out but poor Mr. Cole got his first illness from daycare, he's hopefully on the mend now and we'll all be together soon for C's 1st birthday. Anyhooo....

Every kid loves Kraft
As a child one of my favorite meals (who am I kidding I still love it) was Kraft Macaroni & Cheese. A few days earlier at school they broke out the Gerber graduates shells and cheese so I thought it might be time to try the old blue box. He LOVED it, I would say he ate nearly 1/3 of the box! This feeding frenzy was also enjoyed by Gunner, because it was the precise night that he learned how to drop food off the side of his highchair to feed the dog!

First Swing at the Park
Presidents Day was beautiful here, not the normal 40* weather that we have in February but a nice 68*. We took a nice walk down to the community park and I put C in the baby swing for the first time. He wasn't overly excited about it but he didn't cry either, so I'll consider it a success.

Our Little Musician
I think every baby at this age is enclined to like music. Little C loves music and will dance to it. Our favorite part is when he shakes his head and Eric managed to get it on video!
Happy Valentine's Day
For Valentine's Day we went with our traditional dinner of home boiled lobster. Of course we couldn't cook the poor little guys until our little guy played with them. We put them on the floor in front of him, the lobsters were still pretty stunned and didn't move around much, but you can see he was pretty interested in them. Eric even got me a cake for my first Valentine's as a Mommy.

Stairway
Just today I was talking to Anne about gates, they just installed them at thier house for Sweet Caroline (who is younger than my C). So I pondered to myself, I wonder if my C can climb stairs.

He's actually quite the proficient little climber, he did it 3 times in bare legs, and then I let him climb 1/2 the way up in his PJ's to get upstairs for bed.

Pajama Time
On our vacation Gappa reimised about reading to his boys when they were growing up, so when I was getting C ready for bed and noticing that he was admiring all the books I asked him if he wanted to read to C. He read a few books and wouldn't you know that after he read the books and I nursed C, he went right to sleep without fussing at all!

Home Again
We returned to the East Coast to find moderate tempartures, but our systems were still in shock. Look at little C in his stroller, I don't think he enjoyed putting his shoes back on.

I almost forgot to mention, he cut 2 teeth while we were on vacation. A top tooth (for a total of 2) and another bottom one (for a total of 3). Even with all that pain, he was a really good baby.

International Traveler
Remember the passport photos? We'll we finally got use of the passports. We traveled to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic with Gamma and Gappa.

C enjoyed the leasuirely pace of Punta Cana. His schedule went something like this:
Wake up
Eat
Swim with Gappa
Stroller Ride with Gamma for nap time

repeat that for 7 days!

Camping???
Silly Mommy always enters (free) contests and occasionally we win something. This time it was a coleman tent from Marlboro. Sometimes when you go to bars you get on a mailing list because you sign up to get a free Zippo lighter which mean that you'll get junk mail from Marlboro forever even though you're a non-smoker (who doesn't love free stuff)... anyway as best as I can remember, back in the summer I apparently filled out a telephone survey which then entered me to win some fun stuff. 6 months later we arrive home to a package, which of course, Eric asks what did you buy... I ponder for a moment and really can't think of anything. I open it the minute we get inside to find this beautiful 7x7 coleman tent! C seems to think it's pretty cool.

Thanks Marlboro!
Lunch Bunch
Prior to having a baby perhaps we should have bought stock in Red Robin. It happens to be the most kid friendly restaurant with a decent menu for the parents!
When the girls gather with the babies we nearly don't have to decide where we will meet Red Robin always seems to be the easy choice. So in Mid January after Caleb's check up we met Jenn with J and Jody with O for lunch.
Here are some of our lunch bunch pics:
