The things you'll do for your kids....

Tonight, C was "stirring" some yummy something up for us, but then the colander turned into a hat. It's amazing what silliness parents will do for their children. (Earlier today I was balancing a small truck on my head to make him laugh in the doctor's office).

Look at me, I'm too sexy for my hat, too sexy for my hat...
(ok you get it)

Junior Photographer

After watching me take pictures of him, I guess he decided it was his turn. I'm not certain how he got his hands on my old camera, which is not toddler proof! Funny thing, he actually took a good picture of Gunner. You can guess what Santa will be bringing him!

First Fort

School Parade

C got to "march" in the school parade for "literacy day" which is the PC term for Halloween.
Good thing he was in his costume (Flounder from the Little Mermaid) at school because he didn't get to go trick-or-treating when we got home. He didn't nap and was a little monster without his costume, so we handed out candy instead.

Pumpkin Carving

In full Halloween fashion Eric carved two pumpkins with C. It's hard to tell if C thought it was a "cool" experience. I'm positive he did NOT like the seeds and gooey stringy parts, but once it was lit I think he may have changed his mind. I'm certian it will get to be more fun as he gets older.

Words

C said the sweetest words last night. Never mind the fact that we bribed him with candy and now I think he thinks, Obama means candy. OOPS!

Giraffe!

For months he would scream if I put the towel on his head, but now that he knows it turns him into a wild animal he's thrilled. He runs around the house in it and loves to check himself out in the mirror. We have two towels one giraffe and one fish. I'm guessing I should be looking for more "fun towels".

Broncos!

Direct Tv called and offered a deal that I couldn't turn down. For $40 we got the NFL package for the rest of the season. Which of course means Eric and C (mostly Eric) can watch the Denver Broncos! While watching the game (which they lost, boo) we had a little picnic of yummy football food. C still amazes me with what he will eat, this time he loved Buffalo Hot wings.

Kinderfarm

The second weekend the cousins were here, they came up to our house and we headed to the fall festival at Kinderfarm. We set out to see farm animal and see some tractors. C really enjoyed the tractors and even liked the hay a little bit. We spent a lot of time petting the "Cream Horse" they were very friendly.

Reading

Mom, leave me alone, I'm just reading.

Cousins

C's cousins are in town for a while, so were getting together when we can to have some good family fun. We went for some professional pictures and then back to Pop-Pop and Grandma's house for dinner. The boys played, had dinner, bathed together, and then we all read books. It was total pandemonium but fun all at the same time.

Happy Birthday Daddy

Happy Birthday (we won't say how many) Daddy! A group of us went to lunch and then decided it was about time that we threw our responsibilities out the window and left work early. It just so happened that a tropical storm was also blowing in, so we called it a storm party. C enjoyed playing with D (the amazing quarterback shown here). He liked the football and threw it very well for an 18 month old, also in his left hand (we're holding out hope that he's a south paw).

Labor Day (Part 2)

On our way home we stopped for a family BBQ at Grandma and Pop Pop's house. C enjoyed the trampoline as always, and Grandma did some sort of sillyness with C on her head.

Sandcastles

While on our long weekend we made it to a local lake. It was a wonderful way to spend the afternoon. C enjoyed playing in the sand and building "castles" with Daddy.
