Another first.... Pool Time!!!

Saturday June 16th we went to a BBQ down at the Humprey's Beach House. The weather was very nice and since the water was warm we decided to take Little C into the pool! He wasn't in the water too long, but the water was a warm 88 degrees and he seemed to enjoy the overall experience.

Good Old USDA

C made his 3rd trip into Riverdale yesterday. Ms. Lennie retired from my staff. We had a big Mexican lunch to celebrate, followed by yummy cake (of course). Then I went to have a meeting so he spent a bit of time with Grandma. I came back to her office and all the lights were off he was sleeping in his stroller. Apparently the fluorescent lights were a bit overstimulating. As I passed everyone in the halls they were very nice to welcome me back, but not quite yet I have a couple weeks left!

White Beard.... and we don't mean the pirate!

Last night C was having a bit of a puking spell all night, and this photo was taken right after he took a nice bath to get all clean. We couldn't help but laugh at mess that the little guy made. He also has a new nickname, Chuck! It's amazing what sleep can do for a parent, a few weeks ago I would have been so upset at this because then I would have to clean him up and change him again, but last night we just laughed!

The Story of Elmer

Elmer.... what a name, it means noble and famous. We never ever thought we would name our son Elmer and that is exactly the reason that was his in-utero nickname. We did not want to reveal what we had decided to name him until he was born, thus avoiding the funny faces when we did tell his name. We thought if they were holding a beautiful baby in their arms it would matter if we named him Crayon (which by the way we did NOT). His name ended up coming out at my baby shower anyway. Eric and I had known him as C for about 4 months and it was getting hard to keep his name a secret. My "baby group girls" got me this onesie for him and gave it to me at my shower, I laughed so hard I could have peed my pants! That day it seemed soo big (size 6 months) but today he fills it out perfectly!

C&C Shopping Team

... and the courtship begins

Anne and I took the kids strolling through the mall, then we decided that it was time that they met, they weren't too thrilled to be on the same changing station together. I hope as they get older they can really interact and share toys or something super cute!

Annapolis

There is just something about Annapolis in the summertime that makes you love Maryland! We decided that the weather was nice enough to go to city dock for dinner. C was an angel and slept the entire time we ate dinner. After that Daddy packed him up in the baby bjorn, one of his favorite places to be and we walked around.

Mommy is he a monster???

When babies are young and can't express themselves in any sort of recognizable manner I think that the parents can't help but wonder what are they thinking about? So far the interactions with our dog, Gunner, have gone over very well but I think the older C gets the more perplexed he is by this large black object that seems to have a whip for a tail.

Compare this...

This picture is from when he was 2 weeks old. , in tiny little newborn diapers.

This picture is somewhat similar but he is 12 weeks old, and now is SIZE 2 diapers, what a chunk! Such a difference 10 weeks makes. He's so much more alert, and as Pop-Pop says he's a baby now, no longer a newborn.
