An Important Introduction

All kids should have a "Jack". You may ask what is a jack? A jack is a child's favorite stuffed animal, one that is big enough to hug back and with a large belly to act as a pillow when you're watching your favorite movie. This "Jack" was a gift from Grandpa Dane and yet to be named (Grandma) Darlene. It looks like C fits perfectly in Jack's arms.

Memorial Day Party

Sunday we went down to the Humphrey's beach house for the Memorial Day Party. We forgot the camera for the actual party (oops) but managed to take a couple pictures of C in his "fishing" outfit before we left. The outfit came from our friends Kimberly & Shawn, and we think it's adorable!!! Apparently he was pleased with his appearance as well!

Standing Tall

His leg muscles get stronger and stronger all the time. Although it may seem as if he's lying down all stretched out I can assure you that he's pushing the bottom of his chair so that he's standing (at least a little bit).

another Photo shoot

Hello there....

Yesterday C and I went to Virginia to meet Becky and her daughter "A". A just turned a year and is walking, and it's sooo cute.

They rode in style in their strollers for most of the trip. Yes we were the quintessential strolling mom's complete with Starbucks lattes!

I love the look on A's face here. She's looking at C like 'don't you know you're supposed to drink the milk not spit it back up, and why are your eyes crossed???'

She loved touching him, and was very gentle.

She was especially impressed with his toes.

The First Little Girl

Anne and Scott welcomed their baby girl on Tuesday May 22nd at 8:03pm she was 7 pounds 6 oz and 19 inches long. She's sooo cute!
Our "baby group" continues to defy the statistics. Out of the 4 births, every one's water has broken naturally, and 3 out of the 4 have been born early (first babies are generally over due).
We've got 2 more to go, one girl and one boy, then the gang is complete and ready to begin the terror (okay so probably not for at least a year).

Grandparents Visit #2

Last week, the California Grandparents came to visit. We had a great time. They got to know C and C got to know them. It's just a shame they are so far away.
Here are some pics from their visit.

Daddy's Photo Shoot

Eric took 87 photos before I woke up this morning. He did a great job of capturing all of his little expressions!

Happy Mother's Day

Little Man must have known how much I enjoyed sleeping prior to his arrival, he gave me the best Mother's day gift, 5 hours of sleep in a row! On Friday May 11th we moved him into his crib in his room, and there is no going back. He sleeps great in his own room. Of course around 2am I had to get up to see if he was still breathing, and of course he was!

2 Months Old!

Today C turned 2 months old, and Grandma turned well she wouldn't be so happy if I told you so let's just say 30. To celebrate we took a much awaited trip to USDA so C could meet everyone that Mommy, Daddy, and Grandma work with. It was a very busy day we stayed there for about 4 hours, a very long time. Everyone was so in love and comment on his good skin tone. It was nice to get to meet everyone, he was passed around so much he passed out!

When Daddy got home from work we took our first walk in the Baby Bjorn facing forwards, he really enjoyed looking at the trees and the blue sky. He also wore his sunnies for the first time.

2 Month Check Up

The little one went to the Doctor today for his 2 month check up. He's up to 10 pounds 15.5 ounces, and is 23 inches long. He's still chugging along on the percentile charts, at 30% in weight and 50% in length, so basically he's skinny. The Doctor was pleased with his growth and approved of his head shape so we're doing well with Tummy Time and our infant exercises.
He did get all of his vaccinations, which made me cry. It's a lot for such a little one to take, but he's acting like a real trooper, no fever, he's just a little tired.
We'll take pics tomorrow on his real 2 month birthday!

Three Men All Babies

The boys finally all met at Baby Boy Stegmans bris. We all had a lovely time and have now switched from taking pictures of us as prengnat women to pictures of the kids sitting together.

Left to right: Baby N (8 days), Baby C (8 Weeks), Baby J (5 weeks)

This picture I just had to post, Baby J looks soooo annoyed that we put the two of them together. I just wonder how long they will tolerate us putting them all together on a sofa. Just think the next pics will include girls!!

The betrothed

It's a running joke that little man will marry baby girl C who is due in June. Anne had her shower on Saturday so my baby boy had to dress the part. You can see here his little onesie says I (heart) Caroline. He was a hit so super cute, down to the red "sneaker" socks.

Also note the expression on his face, he's pretty good most of the time but here he was having a bit of a fit.

Apparently it's not easy being 7 weeks old.

Grandparents visit

Eric's parents came out to meet the little guy and stayed with us for a week. It was great we all had a lot of fun, and they fell madly in love with him (which was of course expected!). We went out a lot, now that I have a nursing cover we are a family on the go!! We even managed to get out for some crabs with Grandma and Pop-Pop.

Another little boy....

It's been a while since I've updated the blog because the Grandparents were visiting from Colorado. But we'll get to that in the next post.
Another member of the "baby group" is now living on the outside.

Baby Boy "N" was born on Saturday, April 28, he was 5 lbs 4.9 oz and 19 inches long. To see more on the baby and family's progress you can visit their blog by clicking on "The Stegman's" under My Friends.
